A must see if the opportuity ever again arises

Just saw Clairy Browne ad the Bangin Rackettes a couple of days ago in North London and I would put them on a definite must see list. They played some US shows in October, sorry for the late notice, but I think they will be around again next year sometime. If you like northern soul, which seems to b...

Re: Not quite the life of Riley

Aha,
I see that the owner of one has seen the pictures. I saw the nicest one the other day with a full cage, minilites, and a bunch of period speedwell parts including leather bonnet straps. It seems to be a driver and if I see it again, I shall post some pictures of it. Truly drool worthy.

Not quite the life of Riley

Whilst looking for a Mark II 'ornet to mildly customize , I came across a couple of pictures that sould appeal to at least one intrepid two-stroke lad.

Re: Wanda Jackson 12/11

"shoot, my office christmas party is scheduled for the 11th now." Office party=mandatory fun=suckfest( and not in the Linda Tripp blue dress evidence sort of way) or seeing somebody so transcendental that the hipster at the ad agency who discovered this previously unheard artist could get ...

Re: Wanda Jackson 12/11

Having seen her in Long Beach and at the Black Cat, I would call this a must see.
She is a hall of famer that doesnt take her audience for granted in the least.
And shes like your grandmother, if your grandmother had pipes and slept with Elvis.

Re: Stickers for a resto

Muchos thankos all.
The VIN plate wont work for the P, but I talked to the guy and for all of the vintage vespas they look like a nice product. Time to tear this thing down so that the sandblaster can have his go.

Stickers for a resto

I am doing up my 1981 P200E for a friend's wife and I am wondering if anyone makes the VIN/Tire Pressure sticker and the Year of Manufacture/Oil Spec/Etc sticker that are on the neck/ left side of the legshield. If they do, then any tips would be appreciated and if not then I suppose it is the cost ...

Re: Hey Harley Vespa

Not attempting to speak for him, but about a year and a half ago I bought most of LeonardoJose's scooters and parts because he was transitioning away from the blue smokey two stroke land. I didn't see any topper stuff or I would have probably had more metal to drag west. There are a couple of guys i...

Re: The Internet Craftsmanship Museum...

Definitely worth a trip in noncyber land when one has extra days in North San Diego County and its only about a ten minute ride to the beach on a kitted scoot from the site.

Re: Restored V90 for $3K in DC

I've had a vision so great, as it came to me I wept. I figured out why 125 mpg is quite reasonable. You get on the scoot on a cool morning and ride about 50 miles on the gallon of gas you precisely mixed late the night before after visiting Deacon and his smokers. When you run out of gas you call yo...

The important thing is to make sure you are perceived as being so far over the line that people think you are a jerk of a troll or a troll of a jerk but not to be trolling for jerks or even worse jerking trolls.

Your infamy precedes you

I was at a liqidation auction for a three location Vespa dealer in San Diego yesterday and you will be proud to learn that the plastic fantastic dealers all up the coast knew the screen names of a few of the more prolificly unapologetic posters of WMASA. They seemed to wince in unison. It was almost...
