Postby CharmCity » Wed Sep 21, 2011 8:31 am

I am thinking about selling my small-frame and have no idea where to begin on price. I know lambretta pricing but vespas i am feeling a bit clueless
66 blue badge - Repainted and in great shape (still have the badge)
Piltni 133 kit with a leo pipe. ET3 electronic ignition. Very well running solid scooter.
Gene did a lot of work on this bike to to get it up to snuff.
I'm thinking about bringing it to NSP to sell
Any help would be great

and by reading this if anyone has any interest let me know and i can send photos.

thanks

It would do well for your karma just to give it to me for my birthday.

I don't know...maybe 2 - 2.5K? Smallframe prices are all over the place.

I did a little google search for you and found this good deal for a ratty racer smallframe for $850. if, as the owner says all you need is a trottle cable. The kitted engine and upgraded parts would run you that.

http://lawrence.craigslist.org/mcy/2601597095.html

and then there is this one for 2,600 which seems to be kind of expensive for a stock 3 speed bike.

$2600 for that ET3 isn't crazy. It is a four speed bike, electronic ignition from the factory, newish paint, pretty decent condition. The ET3 will probably go for at least $2k if they know what they have.

OMG, I've loved that smallie since I saw it at Band Camp 2 years ago. But I don't need a fifth one. Gah.

I know a couple people who have bought running smallframes with decent paint in the past year. They paid $1250-$1400. The lower end was for stock bikes, the higher end was for a bike that had a 133 kit. However, those were scooterists looking for deals. I typically see smallies on Craig's List for $1800-$2500, though I don't know of anyone in the scene that would buy at that range.

Concur. Craigslist you can give it a shot at $2k-$2.5K and can expect a decent number of interested parties. They'll all be looking to lowball anyway, so go with the higher price.

NSP, maybe a grand? I've seen a few scoots sell there, but always at bargain basement prices. Two years POC Phil had a $600 Allstate and an $800 P200 for sale. I still kick myself for not having enough $$$ to buy either scooter...

I think Ronnie sold the smallframe to POC Phil during NSP. However, send a PM as you never know.
