FS: Piaggio LT150.....

Postby imjuanpablo » Wed Jan 21, 2015 11:28 am

I bought this thing to just get back and forth to work, so I didn't have to beat on my vintage/antique scooters (and none were running well enough at the time and I didn't have any garage time). Has performed flawlessly for over 1200 miles.

Surprisingly speedy......I even took in on 395 a couple of times, big diameter tires make a huge difference. I bought it, never registered it.....treated it like a 50cc moped, since the LT 50 cc looks identical. Had no issues not having a plate.

Has a little over 2k miles.......tires are great.....battery seems great, but don't know its age. I bought it for $1200 in May, willing to sell for much less to a fellow scooterist that needs cheap transpo. I have the title signed by previous owner, which, unfortunately lists the sale price of $1200......so you'll have to pay the tax on that when (if) you register it.

Oh, and it's British racing green/dark green, excellent body shape, no scratches/dents/cracks.

Oops, forgot to say it's a 2003.........KBB for excellent condition is around $1300........below $1k to a needy scooterist.

Garrett...........

Since no local scooterist was interested when I first posted this back in January..... and I didn't feel like dealing with yahoos from craigslist, I went ahead got the title changed into my name and registered it in DC and decided to keep it.

Okay..........I'm rethinking my riding needs, and might need/have to upgrade to a small motorcycle (500cc or so) instead of using the LT150...........the LT150 is on the borderline regarding small/quick jumps on and off local highways/parkways.......it's safe, and can do 60 mph, handles solidly. but just feels a little too light overall, if you all get my drift. It forces me to use alternate routes that take a little longer than I would like.

So, that being said, hit me up. Again, KBB for excellent condition (which it is) is $1300, will sell for less than that, obviously.

The LT150's are neat LITTLE scoots....I bought one new back in 2003 when DC Vespa Washington had some close out deals on them.
