VIN tracing

Postby JV » Fri Aug 02, 2013 2:55 pm

Anybody know the best way to get a "hard copy" VIN tracing from a scoot onto a piece of paper of some sort?? Purpose being for titling/licensing at the DMV.

As in, what is the best kind of paper to use and pencil/crayon to use to get a VIN imprint onto some paper?

Parchment paper, available from your local grocery store is good and stiff. A soft lead pencil, or a charcoal stick, from the BBQ will work too. Best to rub the pencil or charcoal lightly and then use your finger to get the image. Practice for a few rounds.
