Scooter Accident = Gridlock Nightmare

Postby normratscoots » Fri Apr 11, 2014 11:06 am

http://www.popville.com/2014/04/reader-reports-of-motorcyclescooter-accident-in-bloomingdale-possibly-involving-high-speed-chase/

Riding home last night was quite the mess. I've been trying to find out what closed down RI Ave. between 5th NW and North Capital in both directions. The side streets of Bloomingdale became a zoo. So far, the above blog, which isn't quite clear, points to something of a scooter accident.

The D.C. police department facebook had this along with a report that there was a stabbing at North Cap and Florida:
"1/2 Accident Pedestrian:
* 100 blk. of R. Island Ave NW. PT is cons/alert.
R. Island Ave btwn 1st & 4th St's is CLOSED both ways."
Its a long walk through the city in the rain, its a long walk from train to train.

When the streets become a mess, ride the sidewalk. When the sidewalk becomes a mess, ride the front lawns. When the lawns become a mess, find a bar and drink it off.

Hey! I'm still around. Fixing to sell some scooters and buy a truck so I can get to class. And I've lost the beard somewhere....

No more "Taliban Tony!" Thats an awful lot for scooter insurance, Tony. I pay about $100 per scooter for a year; guess that's something good about boring Maryland suburbs.
