Has facebook died?
Seems to have gotten busy round here lately.

I'm okay with that idea.

FB: hate that it exists, hate that I feel like not being part of it isn't an option.

Sure it is an option, just don't go there.
Haven't been there in two or three weeks and my scooter still runs fine, the garden is still growing, sun still comes up, my daughters hair keeps growing, fish are still biting, etc, etc ,etc :)

I miss out on too many local events if I don't monitor what's up.

It's a personal problem (note the careful wording, "I feel...not an option"). Hats off to everyone who is stronger than I am.

Don't they have a local events rag up there in the great white north?

I'm glad to be back using wmasa more again! I feel like we are a real community here. The Turnbulls FB list, which seems to be the only place to go on FB for scooter stuff in our area, is full of people who are uninterested in vintage scooters and the culture surrounding it. It is also full of people who just lurk and never show their faces at any events. This is not why I am into scootering.

I for one wanted to make a concerted effort to use wmasa more again, because it's just...better.

Howdy Darren. Turnbulls FB group is where I go to troll, long live WMASA.

There should be some sort of WMASA party. I vaguely recall drunkenly talking to Mick at Hogo about doing some sort of scooter related event at their tiki bar. Maybe now that ECC has past I can devote some time to other things, like that. Maybe a Fri or Sat night? Would anyone actually ride out?

PS. does anyone use the rally calendar on scoot.net anymore?

PPS. wtf is the url of that new scooter classifieds site?
My other ride is Michael Garrett.

I can host a WMASA brunch sometime this summer. Brunch-and-ride if anyone is interested in the and-ride part of the equation.

Yes Brunch/Ride!

Yes Hogo/Ride!

Hey, even if it's only a few of us, that's cool. Spoffy and Sus, you guys know I have an extra available scoot if you ever want to borrow for this stuff!

looking forward to fun more low key stuff now that the weight of mega-planning is gone!
