That has to be the last bike on the planet that some fool should come upon by chance.
Its a long walk through the city in the rain, its a long walk from train to train.

Sigh... that is such a great bike and was donated by an incredible shop. Susan and I visited Pro Italia years ago. It's in Canyon country and is hands down one of the coolest Ducati shops I've ever visited.

The waiting list was so long when the Desmo came out that dealerships were able to charge a large premium for it. There is a local guy who bought TWO. One to stare at and one to race.

Not buying one results in a 0 chance of winning it.

Seriously this is probably the most perfect street bike ever made. It's essentially the MOTO GP bike with -just- enough crap added to it to make it street legal.

There were only 1500 of them made, and only 500 sent to the US. This 72K bike will be worth well upwards of 100K in a few years. Once a couple of uber rich types put them on the track and wreck them (or I do, when I win and race to the Cat) they'll go up even more.

197.3 hp @ 13800rpm. That's One Hundred, Ninety Seven Point Three Horse Power. At Thirteen THOUSAND RPMs.

0-60 in 2.9 second

Top speed of 190 mph

the odds are not too bad, especially if you really really want this bike. I hope the person who wins it intends to ride it...

sad thing is, if I won it, I couldn't afford to title it, let alone insrance.

That's why you turn it into a track only bike.

Hmm, I like the odds - think I'll buy a ticket. Then I'll sell it and pay off most of my mortgage.

Thanks for pointing this out, Garrett.

Oh that 197 HP is on a 330lb motorcycle.

A typical VBB weighs 205 lbs and produces 6 Horse Power.

So the difference in this motorcycle and a VBB is 125lbs and 191 Horsepower.
