Tron Legacy

Postby Susan » Mon Dec 20, 2010 2:50 pm

Worth seeing if only for Sam Flynn's gor-gee-ous Ducati and wickedly cool garage-with-a-view-as-apartment.

OK, fine, Quorra is hot as well. The black leather getup suits her nicely.

The lightcycles, of course, are fantastically awesome. And there's a Wargames reference that should make most of the nerds amongst us chuckle. Daft Punk plays themselves, which is kind of neat.

No helmets in the final scene. Totally distracting.

I heard it's loud.

Also I can't fucking stand Daft Punk. If I hear that song "One More Time" one more time I may actually kill people. Lots of them.

So, uh, I'm not going. I may watch it on Netflix in a few hundred years, with my own soundtrack.

Seriously though, reviews of this thing are all over the place - liked it, hated it, sucked, decent, etc....

Get off my LAWN.

Huh? You never read reviews? And yeah, before I spend a few hours and $20 I'd like to know what others who also see movies (read books, drive cars, etc depending on what I am about to spend my money on) think about it...

Doesn't mean I won't see it. I see a lot of things that others don't like, but it does give a good solid baseline to go by when making a decision.

Whatever, dude. So they repeal DADT and all of a sudden you don't have to pretend that fast bikes + hot chick = cool anymore? That's ok, we'll still admit that we know you.

I wouldn't recognize whatever the hell song you mentioned if I heard it. But the idea that the dudes that did the music appear as dj's in funny suits and helmets was pretty neat. The soundtrack (thanks, Rich A.) is pretty nice. Expectedly atmospheric.

What can I say, I'm easily amused.

Tron shirts from Hurley (International)

The shirt is now only available in small, but the dress is in all sizes. The long sleeve shirt glows in the dark.
