I am about to get down and dirty with the planning for this thing, and want the input of those interested in doing the ride. I just started a Google Group and invited the potential riders that I know of.

is there some way you can just add me without me having to sign in to google? i've tried about 20 times and they are telling me i don't have an account. i'm not enthused about mailing tech support.

It's a bit confusing, but you do NOT have to sign up for a gmail account to have a _google_ account (to use calendars, email lists, etc). You can create an account with your current email account and log in that way. SO everything you do on there is linked to your current email, not a gmail account.
