Substitute for HT Lead/Spark Plug Wire

Postby white noise » Thu Oct 05, 2006 7:34 pm

I need to replace the spark plug wire and something went wrong with my order. Can I use another copper core wire as substitute? Something I can buy in a hardware store?

Also, can someone please explain to me why a fuel line has to be exactly 24'' long?

You can use any spark plug wire and can buy them loose at most auto shops. Vespa Washington Service Center can also cut you one to length but you have to get there I guess.

Fuel line has to be 24" because that's what works. Too short and you can't remove the tank and it kinks up, too long and it can kink up and also get air bubbles. Since the tank gravity feeds to the carb it has to be exactly right.

I have a spare length of spark plug wire that -may- fit though it will be cutting it close. If the distance from your CDI to your plug is shorter on your motor than on a P200 it will work perfectly.
