Need to find a place that does shell blasting and powder coating near Greenbelt, MD. Can anyone recommend a place?
In the interest of full disclosure, it's not for a scooter. It's for a steel cabinet from the 1930s that came from one of the houses in Old Greenbelt.

I know a shop in Gaithersburgh, but that doesn't help much. I know he does all the processes, but I don't know about his reputation. Let me know if you want it.
A lot of the steels used in those cabinets were pretty thin and soft, the blaster needs to be aware of that, otherwise they'll warp the hell out of the metal.

Hey Zeets, I'd love the info on the place in Gaithersburg. I could drive it up there.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Jen, if you find someone you are happy with, please let me know.
I have this insane idea for my kitchen that involves blasting and powdercoating a large number of old metal cabinets.

This is the guy in Gaithersburg, like I said, I have no experience with him, I just know a guy that used him (and seemed happy) and he worked up a quote for me for my old company, but we ended up going another route.
Let me know how it works too, I'm thinking of having some work done on my DR-Z.
Also, it appears that Cycles Silver Spring is an affiliate, I'd call those guys up, they've been very helpful to me recently and I feel like they'd give you a honest review of Classics' quality.

Really? they've been super fair with me, they've even thrown me some free labor, and deeply discounted parts. They're a Genuine dealer now too. I'll still use Wellsely, but it is nice to have someone so close.
I've had them change three motorcycle tires for me in the last year. It cost me ~$20 for mount, balance off the bike, and they sold me a $15 innertube, so around $35 per swap and they did it while I waited, right before they close at 7. Plus they're the only MC shop in the area that is open till 7 and have reasonable saturday hours. I honestly have no complaints.
