Need help with my throttle...

Postby spoffy » Sun May 13, 2007 7:08 pm

... on my Sprint. It about killed my hand at Charm City - stupid stiff, I'm totally surprised I don't have blisters.

I'm not sure if it's something seriously wrong with the bike, or if it just needs to be adjusted. Help??

There's probably something technically wrong with it that needs to be addressed. Perhaps lubing it might help. That said, throttle rockers are cheap and do save strain on long days. Beth got me one for Christmas and I'm sold on it. -- Ryan

What was the problem? Too hard to hold open?

Is it stiff like you have cruise control?

Lubing the cable and checking for kinks in the cable and snags in the headset and at the point where the cable enters the carb box are both good places to start.
