Hey do old school radar detectors work on these speed cameras?
I in my parking garage at work the other day and noticed the car next to me had one mounted to the windshield. I hadn't seen on in a car since back in the 90's. Pehaps I need to get one of these to stay out of trouble.
And perhaps I need to hook a cable operation to my plates to have them swing down when the radar detector goes of.. or automatically do that... hmmm...
speed camera ticket?
Re: speed camera ticket?
The problem is the radar is focused tightly and you only "see" the radar from the camera right after you pass it. Sometimes you'll catch some scant radar splatter if you're in traffic, but usually everyone is braking and you're under the ticketable speed anyway. By the way, in Maryland you have 12 mph. Your best bet is a plate cover that obscures your tag at angles and reflects the flash.

Those things don't work (plate covers, reflective things in window, etc). Mythbusters did a whole episode where the tried everything viewers suggested with _modern_ traffic cams / radars. Nothing remotely came close to saving someone.

If you are going to do the string, do it nicely
