Ah, top scooter racing cc allowed is 150. Wonder why that is...

Forgive me if that was sarcasm and I didn't pick up on it. Please use the following icon for future sarcastic remarks so that I don't get confused.

Could be any number of reasons, really. Insurance for such events may be more obtainable with such a limitation. Or, the "track" may only be safe at certain speeds (The YSR track out at 75&80 was smaller than a high-school track and was full of ruts, grass and potholes). The simplest explination is probably the most likely...to keep it "fair". You let in more sizes, you need separate classes. One can hope it gains enough popularity, continues to grow and opens up more classes.

Perhaps I shoud read the link before commenting. They do have classes. Perhaps they'll add a 200+ class...

For anyone riding out to Thurmont from Northeren Virginia, a group of us is planning on leaving from Katie's Coffee House (AKA the Old Brogue Irish Pub) in Great Falls, VA at 8:00AM. If you're not familiar with the area, you can meet at my house near Tyson's Corner at 7:15AM and you can follow me along the backroads and avoid Rte. 7. If you want to meet at my house, please PM me for my address. The weather looks to be nice so come and join us!

Getting ready for a big weekend .We have a ribbon cutting with the town of Thurmont at 8:45am on Saturday and then the Thurmont Scooter Daze Ride on Sunday. It will be a cool day for scooters here. Thurmont has a huge scooter population and there will be a buzz 8) in the town as the scooter take the road together. We will have scooter race display in parking a lot along with a cooler of water when you arrive for the ride plus come on for some AC and good talk with with everyone who is showing for this event which is a one of a kind for Thurmont and surrounding area. Can't Wait :D
if anyone needs to reach us directly for any reason call 301-752-5009 use this number for any text or messages on Sunday also the shop # is 240-288-8220 please stay in touch for ride if needed we are watching weather patterns and everything in our town is good to go, we miss a lot of weather others parts of the region get due to mountains and such so stay tuned.

TommyThunder put on a great event today, nice shop he has, great roads for the ride route, relaxed chat and super chow at his place afterwards, and even the weather held off for the group I was with.....cool breezes and only a couple sprinkles....much better than the weather service predicted :)

Super day!!!

Yup just like JV said.

Laura and I had a great ride up to thurmont. The roads all around that area are awesome. Just about everywhere we went had super scenic and twisty roads.

And the shop was pretty nice. Tommy's got a pretty good setup there.

He said he's gonna throw more rides in the future.. so it's not like you those of you that didn't attend missed your only chance.. but you should definetly go next time.
