Postby 12CI » Thu Jun 20, 2013 12:25 am

because somebody has to...

short notice, i know, but anybody up for a solstice ride revival friday evening? i'm thinking the run up rock creek park, starting on 18th st in Adams Morgan.

what time does the commuter congestion clear off the RCP, anyway? think it'll be OK by 7 or 7:30 ?

I've never been on a Solistice Ride, but've already got Friday plans.

It certainly looks like a nice night for it, hope you have fun!

yes, thanks, it was a nice evening for a ride.

first time i've been to Adams Morgan since the contruction. the former bank of motorbike parking has been broken up into smaller chunks spaced along several blocks.

picked up beach drive at calvert street and enjoyed a nice blast up the park. rather than follow beach all the way to its northern terminus (near randolph), i broke off early and diverted onto stoneybrook and up past the mormon temple, then capitol view and forest glen to sligo creek and back to PG.

thanks to all who turned out in support of this late breaking poorly planned ride.

due to the popularity of this event, it may be expanded to the equinoxes, as well. stay tuned.
