I got beat to a bloody pulp on Tuesday by three teenagers who jumped me for my moped. I wanted to post the story here so if anyone is riding in or around Baltimore, MD you can stay away from North Ave especially west of Mt Royal. It goes a little something like this:

I went to the North Ave Village Thrift on my moped, locked it up, shopped and came out. When I got on my ped to get back onto North Ave, 3 kids were waiting for me. One blocked my way out with a bicycle while the other two surrounded me. They pulled my moped and me to the ground and commenced to kicking, punching, pounding and dragging my moped and me on the pavement. They couldn

In MD you're allowed to carry a gun.

Seconded - not only the thieves, but anyone who stood around and did nothing.

In my world they'd be in jail right now.

Or beat up themselves - their choice.

When this stuff happens, I'd like to paper the "community" with flyers that say something like "Congratulations, your no-future son and his friends beat up a girl and tried to steal her moped. Good luck with the weekend jail visits."

you are sadly misinformed.
while there is, officially, a process in place for a private citizen to get a carry permit, actually obtaining one in MD is extremely difficult.

you must be thinking of virginia...or florida, or any of the other 36 states that have "right to carry" laws.

But it is still allowed, right? Even if difficult it is still allowed?

I carry all the time and it's illegal as fuck in DC.

Worthless fucks. Maybe I'll go chain my bike up outside of that place and just wait patiently. While I hope those pieces of dogshit get dismembered by a light rail train, I still must make a point...

Common sense and self preservation should have dictated that you stay the fuck away from the entire North Avenue corridor. You never thought you were not safe in this city? Uh, wake up. We are in the top ten for murder, rape and other violent crimes. There are plenty of other thrift shops in better areas of the city. You know those a-10 warthogs that circle Baltimore in pairs? I've often said that they could bomb large areas of the city and not kill one contributor to society, as the ratio of shitbags to producers is rather unfavorable. Fucking leeches like that deserve to be shot in the public square, old school style. Just be glad you had your brain bucket on, or you might be dead.
pop your collar. i dare you.

What the F!

I never much goto Baltimore, I know its got its problems, but honestly this could just as easily happen in DC. I cannot believe the fight those kids put up, I cannot believe the citazens around in day light just sat there.

I truly think citazens should be able to cary a gun if they want one. I always carry mine when I ride in DC, unfortunately for its residents, DC does not let you carry one of your own. This was an extreme crime of violence & would have been a justified shoot had it happened that way.

People do indeed suck. I doubt they will get caught, its sad for her condition the charges could be quite high.
