The most astonishing part of this story is how his bike survived 3 months in Adams Morgan without being chained to anything.

I feel for this guy, hope he gets his bike back.

The frustrating part is that he doesn't give a type or better description of the scooter - anything to distinguish it from other white and 49cc scooters.

WTF is up with everyone who gets their scooter stolen posting about it on CL with no photos?

Dont people take pictures of their scooters? Google image that beach if necessary. I got time enough on my hands right now to ride around the alleys of downtown in search for treasure, but come now, $400 to find a white 49 cc scoot in DC (which is known as 50CCville)?

And, not to pile on, what about theft insurance. It's cheap! But, he probably didn't have any insurance since it was an unregistered scoot in DC. :(
