1965 Allstate (Stolen in November, 2001)-FOUND- 2011

Postby epsato » Fri Jun 29, 2007 4:04 pm

Since the cops never helped me, I figured it might be a decent shot in the dark to see if anyone ever saw or heard of what may have happened to this bike.

It was a 1965 Vespa Allstate, Candy Apple red in color. Bike was stolen from 1100 block of G Street NE in November, 2001 (back yard was locked at the time, but lock was broken).

VIN is A15T70637

At the time it was stolen, the bike would start up but had a dirty carb because of a poor oil/gas mix (too much oil) and had a broken rear break cable.

Photo is below.

Enrique.. I saw your post on facebook.. The scooter I looked at tonight had what looked like auction or impound tracking letters written on the seat. This very well could be your old scooter.. do you have the old VIN /title/registration/poilice report or any photos.

Shoot me an email if you want to follow up on this.

Holy shit..

It is your scooter. I went to scoot.net

Look at this;

It's got the same exact accessories AND the scuff on the cowl is the same.

Enrique.. get on this quick before he sells it to someone else.

We shall see. My scooter juju's been off the last year. However, if dude proves to be cool and gives this back to me for whatever he bought it from the impound lot for, well, I'll be happy.

Pray to the scooter gods my baby comes back to me. This scoot was a headache ten years ago, but I'll treat it right if it comes back. Now that I know how to install a top end and a big bore exhaust, there's hope!

I had a big old tank of a Schwinn bike that I used for my paper route in Michigan back in the 1980's. Schwinns were the best because they had good kickstands and wouldn't fall over even when they were loaded up with a load of fat Sunday papers.

Sombody ripped it off. PM me if you see it around anywhere.
